Eric, as for your problem with the unit dropping off every midnight, that is a very interesting phenomenon. I'm not sure if other folks have seen that yet, but if anyone has, please post.

So I've been trying to get to the bottom of this. The unit is still not checking in to MMV3 after midnight everyday. I had been rebooting the unit remotely every morning to reset it, which has been working. But I did realize on Sunday when I woke up later that the unit had reconnected to MM on its own that morning. So since Sunday, I've been noticing in the early morning that the unit has been not checking to MM since before midnight, but instead of rebooting I've done nothing....It turns out that the unit eventually connects with MM around 7-8am. I don't have the exact time, because I've just not been patient enough to check it every 10 minutes throughout the morning.

So that led me to think maybe it's a setting on my router? But I don't know what that would be. Also I have a xantrex combox unit which calls in to its server and that runs all night, so doesn't seem like it would be a router issue.

Look for straight lines on the MM graph, those will be the time periods the MM is off line...If you drag you mouse cursor and stop it at any place it will show the approx time over on the left in the data readout box...

The only straight lines I see would be straight anyway because it's night time. pv voltage is constant, etc. screenshot attached.

From what I can see the little power bars (Blue vertical bars) are all there so that would tell me it is calling in steady.

maybe it has to do with my login to the MMV3 site then? Because when I login in the morning, I only have data showing up to 11:5x pm the night before. I refresh the web page or logout then login again and still no data from midnight until morning. Then around 7-8 am all the data shows up.

yeah that sure sounds odd. But it is on the MM/Browser end as the classic will not back fill missing data. So that data is in the server you just are not seeing it. Maybe the browser is caching the page. I will mention this to Andrew

Yeah that is pretty strange. Your data does seem to be very consistent, Eric. What browser are you using to access MM? Can you get the about/version as well?

I use Firefox - no problems . I have beta version 43 .

Always has worked fine for me . Guess I am lucky.  Any chance it is something weird with your router ? I use a Linksys with DDWRT firmware set up as access point  that is cat5  to another linksys DDWRT in client mode wifi  to another access point that has the internet .

Seems to be working fine for me Ryan . Only thing I notice so far is Energy label says Wh instead of kWh .

Any chance it is something weird with your router ?

I don't think so as it works fine with the L App; as well as it WAS working with/for the 'drupal ' (old) version of MM, made one change to the DNS override and blewy, gone...  however when making a screen capture for Ryan this afternoon, \i noticed in the lower left of the screen flashing messages, of 'connecting to', waiting for' and 'TRANSFERING DATA FROM 159.203.65.201'... THEN THERE IS THE MESSAGE NO DATA    ??

For some reason my Classic communications locked up last night  - according to MyMidnite online  last report was 1:44 AM . I noticed this morning I couldn't log in with Local Status app. Restarting the Classic fixed it all .

But this is about the first time this has ever happened - has always been very stable.

Hi everyone,
I figured this out in a dream the other night. No kidding -- I seem to do my best debugging when I'm asleep these days, pity I don't get to do it very often. SO the problem is on MyMidNite end itself, nothing to do with the front-end website or the Classic. I've got 2 databases to make data access faster, but one developed a small problem syncing the other day and I haven't had a chance to fix it yet. You have a 50-50 chance of getting either database when you request data and if you happen to get the broken one then no data! I'll get to repairing the offline DB this week. Sorry for the inconvenience!
