Installed a 12v DC blower fan to help keep things cool. I put a cigarette lighter on the end and mounted it above the inverter. I am going to test it out before connecting it to the "load" terminals on the Kid...and program the Kid to make it turn on during the hot part of the day. The fan is quiet and doesn't vibrate...yet throws out a lot of air. Beats running that household fan all the time...which uses 120v AC from the inverter. This DC one is low current.

Did I read this right?  Go on, tell me your spelling checker did this. Of course your not going to have a flame making cigarette lighter in the vicinity of deep cycle batteries? Are you?

Should have used "power plug". No, cigarette lighters.

I was thinking of doing the same ( connect a fan to the load terminals) . Did it work for you?

My bad...it is a power plug. So used to using dated terminology. Good catch
