Had to do a restore factory defaults to my android tablet last week, went to reinstall the local app and it seems to be gone from Google Play when searching from a Samsung Tab A with Android 7.1. Is LA no longer available?
I have a copy of the android apk app from 2014 and was going to attach it for you but it won't let me cause the file is too big.
I can probably put it somewhere else like dropbox for you to download .
Larry
Thanks Larry. Is it small enough to attach to email?
Try this link and see if you can download the apk file there
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2coagrw07powpho/LocalStatusPanelMobile.apk?dl=0
If it doesn't work let me know and I will figure out how to make the link public.

I just downloaded it to a pc, but I left my tablet at work so I cannot test it. But I think I have it.
So does this mean that the App is no longer on the Google Play Store? I cannot find it thru my phone or my tablet. If so, why has it been removed?
May have been problems with the Adobe Air platform on which is was based. The original intention I think that was chosen was because it was supposed to work on all platforms so they could have just on Local Status App that worked on everything. Just my guess.
Larry
Is there a planned replacement
You will have to ask Midnite about that . For monitoring use Grahams Classic Monitoring app which is on the playstore . It has better graphics and interface than the Local Status App too by most accounts. But it won't do control. If you really want some advanced control features the thing to do would be to study up and figure out using Raspberry Pi and Node Red - unlimited capabilities there to integrate and control everything even if it is not part of Midnite system.

Problem with the Local App on an Android is that it just wasn't designed to be ported to a phone or tablet very well.
I though that Mike Wood did a pretty good job at getting what he did to work on the phone.
Nowadays, we wouldn't use the Adobe AIR format, though at the time it seemed like a great way to have an application work over the 3 main OS's.
I really like Graham's Android app !
Didn't someone else on this forum have an application to talk with the Classic ?
boB
Yes boB there was something that was being bata tested, but I can't find the info right now.
Again thanks larry for the followup.
