is it ok to install mnbcm on midnight controler

Received my classic 150 controler yesterday. I noticed the mnbcm has the same housing as the mngp. I need to install the controler a little high on the wall and want the mgnp lower where I can read it better. The mnbcm bolts right onto the controler and I am going to mount the mngp separate from controler remotely at a lower height so it is easier to read thru bi focals .  Is this ok to do?    ;Dsolarvic
