Hi, I noticed the Hi-Temp setting is very high (something like 176 degrees C) from factory settings is this normal?
What value should this be set at? Ty.
High temperature setting for what ?
Larry
Menu..Charge..Battery Menu...Limits.... last item is Hi Batt, set to 170 degrees Celsius. That is ridiculously high.

Yes, you're right. It is set ridiculously high so that it is "disabled"
Setting it to a correct setting for your batteries would be dependent on your particular battery specs.
That is why it is REAL high as a default. I agree that it could have ben lower, say, 100C

Is that just an alarm Bob - or does it cut off battery charging ? I couldn't find anything about it in the Classic Manual.
Larry
It cuts off the charging. It was a relatively new feature and did not get a spot in the manual yet.
I think there was one customer that really needed it but should have been there in the beginning.
Another temperature feature that really should be in there would be a low temperature cutoff for Lithium batteries.
