My KID spent most of the day in "Float" mode, with the FLT LED solid, but then switched to a mode I hadn't noticed before, "FltMPPT", with the FLT LED blinking. The manual doesn't mention "FltMPPT" nor the blinking LED at all. Anyone know what the difference is? Thanks
Hi Tobit,
FLT MPPT is when the batteries are in float but the solar input is reducing.
The batteries are full but there is not enough solar input to keep them at the float setting.
This usually happens in the evening shortly before the unit goes to resting.

Hi Tobit,
All "MPPT" modes indicate that there is not enough PV power to maintain any voltage setpoint for that stage. This is due to too little PV power, or loads that are too large for the PV power available.
Float-MPPT means that the temp comped Float voltage cannot be maintained, but the last stage that was reached WAS Float.
Make sense? Vic
Thanks guys
