Title: Remote Display
Post by: ZoNiE on January 14, 2018, 10:38:52 PM
Hi Folks, I sold my Travel Trailer with the MNKid and 390W solar setup with it. Going up to 1,120W system on my Class A Motorhome and have determined the Classic 150 will do nicely. I want to mount it in a closet since it is much larger than the Kid, and want to use a remote pane and mount it above the entry door. I see they are available, and it will support two of them, but can the existing one on the classic be removed and remote mounted instead? I'd sure like to save the money on the second one...

I *Think* that It is removable from the front cover... Manual is not entirely clear on this...

I do want the Arc-Fault and the Ethernet, so the Lite is not on my radar.

Hoping these are like Motor Inverter Drives where the control panel either mounts to the front or remotely with a cable...

Thanks.

Yep, you can mount the MNGP remotely with a longer cable. Just make sure you can reach the battery and PV main breakers because to do a forced reset you need to hold some buttons on the MNGP while turning on the battery breaker.

Or you will need two people.

Thanks, John. Gonna probably need two people... Then again, if I put those two breakers in a slightly different location... Not a commonly done thing.

Jealous of your Kyocera's. Wish I could get more at the price I got my KC135's on my old rig.

If you are going to have it hooked to WiFi dont forget to use the Local App for setup... it makes that task a breeze... and also monitoring output etc...  There also is Grahams Android version of the L.App

Have fun.
