Title: Midnite solar 200 and a 24V Sodium system
Post by: cybermaus on November 10, 2023, 08:17:58 AM
Did anyone already experiment with the Sodium-Ion batteries?

Sodium-ion seems to have a similar CC->CV charge cycle like Lithium, but with 3V nominal, 4V max charge, 2V min discharge values. bit of a wider range then Lead, even then Li-Ion

So 8cells would be 24V exact, but to charge you'd need to set float all the way up to 32V
And discharge cutoff could be as low as 16V

Considering changing out my lead-acid for Sodium-Ion next time. I mean, the Lead are still good now, but they are already 5 years old now.
