Post by: Biopwr on March 19, 2016, 03:22:37 PM
I have windows 10 on my computer and tried to do the software update today and it came up with an error it says boot loader 2.2 Bad Firmware.
It never loaded when I connected the usb it would flash a notice on the computer screen that says tap to see what happens with removable drives again and again and then the error message on the Kid shows and now the Kid is stuck I cant clear that message(boot loader 2.2 Bad Firmware)

Did you try to reset the power to the Kid and see if it will go back to normal operation ?

What is the windows 8 Kid fix ?

Not sure I have ever done a Kid update since I switched to Windows 10.

Glad you got it working again !

Use the windows 8.1 updater found on the Kid software page, then reboot your computer and then load the firmware.

That is what I had to do to update from a windows 10 laptop.

I should change the documentation but yes "Reboot the computer" after running the windows 8.1 patch is the key
