Title: MPTT Status screen changed with update
Post by: sanicki on February 10, 2023, 08:46:22 AM
Yesterday I updated firmware to MNGP2: 23.2.5 and Hawkes Bay to 23.2.1.2. In prior versions of software the MPPT status had 2 screens the 1st a summary screen and then after turning the knob a more detail screen with additional information. Seems the detailed screen is no longer available. Can this be reenabled? This screen had a key piece of information displayed PVin voltage which is a great piece of information to know while setting up alarms ensuring the control logic is working as well as watching the voltage stored in the internal capacitors on shutdown to ensure all the voltage has bleed off before opening and doing work within the unit. Attached are the 2 screens that used to exist, now only screen 1 is available.

Another question I noted that it seems like the alarm's may have updated and in the software nots it is vague as to what what updated. Is there a description of the actual changes made letting me know what aux functions are to be working and not? I am still interested in testing the PVin monitoring Hi and Low  and it seems like some latching may be happening as my alarm trigged and latched set after update but I have not seemed to get it to react as intended. I was also surprised to see it be latched on after update vs off or in an auto state.

So if you press the MPPT Button and then scroll clockwise you do not see the actual device? You may want to try a factory restore or use the beta app to update to the newest version

Like Ryan said - press the MPPT button bottom right . You can turn the knob and get additional screens.
Then press the Status button and turn knob for different more detailed screens.
Works good for me since I want to see output of the Hawkes Bay alone and separate from the Whizbang output ( whizbang shows me combined Classic and Hawkes Bay output )
So Mppt button shows me HB and the Status shows me whizbang combined output.
There are two different bluetooth firmware apps on Playstore. One does production firmware, the other one will load the beta firmware updates.

I have just tried a factory reset, still screen 2 which I attached is not available. When you select mopt button on 1 mppt status screen will display no additional screens with the knob. When selecting status additional screen display but not the information as shown on the screen 2 image I attached. I downloaded the beta software app and when I try to use it it says I have the most current software installed from my last update using the production update application.

I have a new finding, clockwise rotation at any speed you do not get the 2nd screen. However counter clockwise sometimes I can get it to appear, seems a specific rate of turn counter clockwise will make screen to appear from the mppt status screen
