Putting out a call for pictures of Brats in use. Not sure what we plan to do with these but we may want to use one or two in a magazine add.
I've tried to send some pictures but my pictures exceed the allowable size, shall I send them to you Ryan?
If you are using Microsoft Pic viewer, OPEN up a picture, do a SAVE AS save as, close the original and open the copy, just click on PICTURE in the tool bar, and choose RESIZE, over on the right side pick the % reduction you want and then save it..... Voila!
Thank you westbranch I'll see what I can do, I'm using an iPad but will see if I can resize.
Worst case send me them in email and I will resize for you
Ryan,
I should have mine up and running next month, I'll send pics.
Here's mine but as more of a "Don't try this at home"
Having a system at my desk helps me with doing the manual.

Here it is doing it's thing with a sharp 235 panel and a 4 watt MR16 sitting on the top corner of the panel as a yard light.
I've had a strange weekend. No power for 36 hours (Noon Saturday until Monday Morning) and I live in the suburbs.

I managed to keep our cell phones charged and run an LED lamp when needed. I got to relive the magic of dial-up like internet speeds by turning my phone into a mobile hotspot via a very weak 3g signal (that's why my phone is charging on the banister).
We have a wood fireplace that helped keep us warm.
It was fun but more frustrating by Sunday evening. Still, I don't think any of my neighbors had lights, the internet, or music.
I live in an apartment and am looking to buy a home. Melanie (we've been together 10 years), now wants a larger permanent off-grid setup when we move into our first home.
Brad, give us some idea of where you are..?? I am in Vancouver, BC right now and the rain is just pelting down, started lst night, no relief in sight and heavy winds all yesterday and lots of power outages, 4 here since noon yesterday
I'm just outside King County, a little bit north of Seattle. The highest peak estimate I've seen for households without power was 750k.
