Next week, I will be installing a Magnum MS4024 on an E-Panel (MNE250STM-L) at a clinic in the Dominican Republic. I have a Magnum battery monitor to go with the remote control.

Some place, I saw a picture of the BMK mounted inside the E-panel with the sense wires shortened. Is this a reasonable place to mount the BMK? Are there any rules for shortening the sense wires?
