Title: Please explain about the MoonScope
Post by: RegGuheert on March 02, 2011, 07:01:17 AM
I was at the job site yesterday and I finally saw the traces of the MoonScope.  (Status->RIGHT->RIGHT)

After some pondering, I think I understand that this is an oscilloscope!  What a great idea!!

boB has mentioned elsewhere that this is not yet done but could you please describe the two traces that are there now and what is planned for the future?

TIA!

Reg

Right now, the higher trace (when Classic is powering) is input voltage and lower is battery voltage.

Pressing up button will make the trace go faster and down button will make it go slower.

At the moment, this is all it does, but is capable of doing quite a bit more.  Just need more
time and will have features added as we can get to them...

It will also show power curves, daily power graphs, etc. The acquisition speed is also
not extremely fast at the moment but close enough to see, say, the wind speed
changes if connected to a turbine.  The high and low voltage ranges need to be adjustable,
which is probably the next thing to happen with the moon scope.

That is very cool,  boB.

And like your current Avatar,  Have not seen the Monoscope pattern for decades,  very retro.

Very happy that you are shipping the Classic,  a very nice box,  with many more capabilities to be added.  Congratulations to all at MN.    Vic

Thanks for the explanation, boB!

Please let us know whenever you make improvements here so that we can try them out!
