My Trimetric was showing more amperage going to the battery than the Classic 150. Finally out of frustration, I killed power to the Classic so it would reboot. Not only did this solve the problem but it is twice the wattage from the array.... is this normal? My array is almost completely shaded now. Before the reboot, I had like 50-65watts coming in from the array on the Classic. After the reboot and 20 minutes later, I am seeing 120-140watts on the Classic. Same input voltage before and after reboot.
Where are you seeing input watts ? Are you calculating from the display ?
The output into the battery should be good. The input current is not so accurate
at the moment.

Well I knew something was wrong when the Trimetric said is was getting more into the battery than the Classic said it was outputting to the battery. Even with a load on the battery the Trimetric was showing almost a full amp more going to the battery bank than the Classic displayed it was sending.
The input on the Classic shows pv voltage/wattage/kwh in and battery voltage/amperage/charge step on the main status screen.
I thought it was odd when the classic was displaying it was only getting 15-25% of the rated output of the array.
Did I screw something up?
I did a factory restore and started over. Hopefully it works right tomorrow because my batteries are getting low.

I know that once in a while the wattage and kW-H being on the left side makes some think that is
for the input because above it is the word input and the input voltage but those two numbers
are actually output watts and energy, not input.
That's the problem with a small display I guess. I suppose those could go on the right and
maybe try to put the text characters on the left side. That might help.
But it sounds like the output amps is off compared with the Trimetric then...
However, your Trimetric is looking at the input to the battery itself and the Classic
is looking at the battery current plus loads so I would think that if it was going
to of off kilter that it would be the other way around, kind of.
It is possible that your Classic is not calibrated as well as it could be. Usually the output current
is pretty accurate.... At least better than 1.0 amp, especially at higher currents.

Thanks Bob. Your second paragraph is dead on. This is what was happening. Is there anything I need to do to re calibrate it other than the factory restore and re-inputting my settings?
