This has nothing to do with solar, but you guys are some of the best at networking I've come across so I'll put it out here.
I have four Foscam wifi cams, and they work great from the internet when I'm OFFSITE They also work great on WAN (192.168.1.xxx:zzz)
They will NOT work going through my Linksys Smart WiFi super-wazoo router when I access them ONSITE using the LAN internet address (208.68.37.xxx:zzz). The router seems to restrict going out and coming back in to a LAN address.
What settings do I need to change on the router to allow these cameras to visible from the internet while sitting next to the router in my home.
NAT Redirect is also allowed.
This is primarily for setup purposes while working on my website when home.
BTW, I have a cheap Buffalo router at another location that WILL allow this and it's driving me nuts.

I would think you should be able to do some kind of redirect in the router for outgoing calls to that address?
My question is "why"?
Why not just use the local address while at home?
My Linksys does not allow that out and back in, either. I think it is an issue with configuration on the router?
Simple fix is just make a bookmark for the local address and be done with it.
No expert but I keep things alive here on the ranch. I have a limit on gigabytes / month so would not use the out to web and back in to local anyway.

That is my work around too. I use the WAN address in probably the same way as you. I use a program called BlueIris for the security cam duties and run them internal, calling on BI from outside to save bandwidth, so I'm not always broadcasting cam data.
The reason I want to access the cams from the LAN address when I sitting next to the router is when I make a change to my website and rearrange the webcam live feed on a web page, I like to verify the finished product.
All this and the fact that I cannot figure out why the heck a cheepo Buffalo router will do it and this dang wazoo LinkSys Smart? router will not. (personal challenge perhaps?)
I think I'm gonna find out it is not possible on this EA6500
Another thing that is not comforting, is all access to the router is through LinkSys website on the cloud. You can't just plug in with a Ethernet cable and access the router, which has been a big problem a time or two.

Just FYI, LinkSys routers will not allow a LAN address in from the local network. This is what they are saying, to prevent possible DNS rebinding attacks.
