Title: Bus Bars
Post by: chris on February 02, 2014, 11:26:25 AM
Just having a look at the bus bars that MidNite sells......and it appears that the biggest wire they will except is a 1/O....am I missing somthing here or do they make one that will work with the 2/O wire I have used?

Thanx, Chris

From the bus bar description on Midnite's web site:
QuoteFive, 5/16 studs for battery connections. Comes with auxiliary terminal busbar for six small wires #14-1/0.

You must crimp lugs on your 2/0 cable and attach it to the 5/16 studs.

Thanx, I did see that.....but was hoping there was one with the screw lock as I don't have a crimper for the large wire.

Not a recommendation of seller, scroll down on the page to see different types of hydraulic crimpers.  I have one like the $70.00 one and it works to 2/00.

We do have similar busbars that accept 2/0 wire. They are used on our HV disconnecting combiners. The foot print is different that the 1/0 busbars. I don't know if we ever put them on our price sheet? If you need 2/0 busbars, just e-mail me with the quantity of wires and sizes and what color (s) you want. We have three different sizes. 5, 7 or 9 and 15 positions. Can't remember if it is 7 or 9. You can see them by looking at the HV disco combiners. They also have very nice push on caps. I found a picture showing the 5 position with caps on.
