Title: Loc App problems
Post by: SolarMusher on February 03, 2014, 10:10:00 AM
Hi Andrew,
Loc app disconnects regularly (minute) and battery voltage gauge doesn't seem to work anymore with last beta updates loc app and Classic.

Also take a look at Float Times in the Offline Data Dump. Mine are starting to erase older FT values from a few months back starting in March 2013 at one FT value a day being zeroed out. The other values for that day are still ok. And the dump currently goes back to 2012. May be a Classic 1609/1608 firmware problem. As it seems to have started after that firmware update.

Hi, Guys,
I'm a little flumoxed by this. The only things that have changed in the Local App is the addition of the 3 WBJr config registers. Nothing related to connections or Live or offline data has changed. Have you noticed this in relation to firmware updates or Local App updates?

In my case it appears to have started after the 1609/1608 firmware update. I did not discover it until Feb 1 but it was in my previous Nov and Dec dumps. See the link above to other thread.

Andrew, it was working fine for me two days before I updated to the last WBjr beta update with temp correction. This morning when I open the loc app, it asked for a new update with Air. I was thinking that it was already updated...???

Erik ...  I think the Adobe Air update is separate from the Local App update. I just got an Adobe Air update recently within the last few days also.

Yeah the Adobe AIR update comes from Adobe. That updates the runtime that lives on your computer. The Local App comes from us and it will prompt you with a hard-to-read description of the changes since the last update.

If the latest update from Adobe is causing problems I may have to have a chat with them to see what is going on.

Thanks,
-A

Hi Andrew,
After the last update, the Loc app is now working perfectly.
A real pleasure!
Thanks for all,
Erik

I would suggest you update to 0.3.34 that was posted recently by Ryan:

http://kb1uas.com/HighVoltage/LocalApp/LocalStatusPanel.v0.3.43.air (http://kb1uas.com/HighVoltage/LocalApp/LocalStatusPanel.v0.3.43.air)

I had the 0.3.40 app running awhile but never saw that missing voltmeter.

Good luck with it.

Tom

Thanks Tom for the link to 3.43 Local App - I have it installed now and the needle is where it is supposed to be though voltage is down to 29 volts now too which is in scale of meter.
