Verified that the classic is working and charging the battery, fan comes on and off. MNGP shows no voltages or charging info, just says resting then blinks to "got comms? for just a quick sec, then back to saying resting. Ive shut off the battery and PV breakers, removed the cable from the MNGP, but to no avail. I know I have read about this prob somewhere, but cant find the answer!! Tnx for help

I recall this being an issue a few updates back.
I suggest you update to the latest Classic Firmware over here:
http://www.fusion.midnitesolar.com/MidNiteSolarUpdate_1758_2-5-2014_v4.20.exe (http://www.fusion.midnitesolar.com/MidNiteSolarUpdate_1758_2-5-2014_v4.20.exe)
Or you can try the VMM or "Vulcan Mind Meld" and reconfigure it.
VMM is : Power down the Classic. Hold the left and right arrow keys on the front and power it up until it gives you the setup screens then go through and confirm setting are correct.
Probably much better to get the newest Firmware installed.

Not always the case.

Hi Tom
Got the upgrades on both 150,s done yesterday. Its always kinda of a pain as my "solar dog house" is outside on the slope where the panels reside. Drag the laptop out, but in this case, a great sunny day! No issues this time, everything according to plan!! Gonna hook up the follow me cables today and see how it goes!!
After a few days of cloudy wx, back to our southern NM, high desert weather, with blue skies and lotta sun. I can even roast my coffee mid-day using 1500w roaster. "Solar Roasted"
I didnt look to see where you are living???
Hope you have a lot of sun--- weather in midwest and NE has been terrible lately!!

Midwest, Upper middle coast (Iowa) about 43 North. Full on winter, cold and snow covered, good for full on MPPT solar production. On the Spring side of the hump so all is good and the firewood might last. :o
Luckily my gear is all in the Power Room, which doubles as an office and man cave so I only need to plug in an extension USB cable / hub to reach the Classics / Kid. I think this latest update will be good for awhile unless any bugs creep up so you may not need to update for awhile. Not much fun trying to do it out in the weather for sure.
