Title: LA lost connection after name change
Post by: mofawayesu on April 06, 2014, 07:18:42 AM
I recently changed the name of my Classic via the local app.  At the same time, I downloaded an updated version (3.53) of the LA.  The next time I tried accessing the classic via LA, it refuses to find it (either with the PC or Android app).  I can ping the Classic without trouble.

The only other thing I was playing around with at that time was using the web access.  It doesn't work for me (Hughes sat connection), so turned it off via the local app when I was done playing with it.  I've confirmed on the classic itself that the web access is turned off.

I'm guessing either the updated LA or the name change is the culprit, but it doesn't seem like anyone else is having troubles with 3.53, so I'm back to the name idea, as illogical as that seems.

Any other ideas out there?

Rebooting the classic should get it going again. If not then recheck all your network ip and port settings.

That did it - thanks!  I dislike rebooting because I lose my SOC as well as time and date...sigh.  I wish there was a way around that...
