Since the last beta, Classic / SOC / Aux control seems very good. I have not had to intervene at all.
So I can now set and forget.
But I do not want to forget. I want to watch!
I would like (not mission critical) to see how the SOC% is over time and when I am drawing current.
So some suggestions and enhancement request for MyMidnite:
- Aux1 history : currently there is a 'indicator-light', but that is always 'current state' even if you move the cursor over the timeline.
- SOC% in the graph.
And maybe also
- WBjr current
- Net load (PV current-WBjr current)
- Battery voltage scale offset. So not 0~Vmax, but Vmin~Vmax. Or maybe (Vsystem-15%)~(Vsystem+30%)
Thanks
Hi, Cybermaus,
Good call. These are actually all at the top of my mymidnite list-- in addition to the AUX indicator, the warnings will also be tracking the cursor. I don't know if the Battery voltage offset will be possible in the short-term though as that kind of feature is not currently available in the javascript library we are using for graphing. I can see if the authors are receptive to putting it in though!
Thanks,
-A
Thanks. No rush with this.
If you do get around to the battery voltage offset, after thinking about it more, I think I would prefer a fixed range based on system voltage more then a Vmin~Vmax. The latter would not give a good indicator, as you cannot visually see if you are too high or to low (the line would always hit top and bottom at some point in the graph)
System voltage based, and then such that one of the horizontal guidelines would actually be exact system voltage.
So for 24V, range could be 21 to 30, so 24 (and 27) would be guidelines. It matches the current chosen top of 30V, and I think 21V is low enough to never want to be there.
Alternatively, a range from 20 to 32 would also put 24V on a guideline.
