Title: BTM compatibility
Post by: tecnodave on June 03, 2014, 10:10:53 AM
Does anyone know if there is a standard to battery temp. monitoring. The connector on my Classic is the same as the Trace C-40.  Is it possible that they use the same thermistor and maybe the same pinout?

The outback and midnite sensors are interchangeable. Not sure about trace, but outback and trace share come common engineering, so maybe.

Edit: Ryan, thanks for setting that straight.

That is just what I was thinking, why reinvent the wheel, if if works use it, ah yeah right, patent attorneys! Let's hope solar industries stay civil, not like the computer and cellphone industries have become. There is room for all without being cutthroat.

Magnum and Trace used a 100K
Midnite, Outback, and Schneider use a 10K
I don't know what Morning star uses
