Title: More data in the future?
Post by: jimbo on June 16, 2014, 06:20:31 PM
I was wondering if there is a possibility of showing more data (SOC, current in or out of battery bank) on the mymidnite webpage? I will be installing a wizbang jnr and shunt and would love to be able to see whats going on over the internet.  The house my system is set up in is rented so i don't have access to the local app.

Cheers

Renting's a prob because of cabling constraints?

You can use a wifi bridge easy enough.

Can you explain what you mean?

ZB,

I think what jimbo is saying is that the system he is referring to is rented to someone else, he is looking to monitor Classic fully from my midnite at some other location?

I'm not doing any monitoring except with the MNGP so I'll not comment on jimbo's question.

Yeah that is correct.  The current system is great but just a little more info would make it perfect :)

Jimbo,

Welcome to the forum, Zoneblue is pretty up on the remote monotoring options and I'm sure he will chime in again soon with maybe something that will help.

Hi, guys,
SOC and WBJr Amps as well as temperatures are being put up on the website at the moment. It's a bit slow going though. I'll have it all up and released in the near future.

That's great to hear.  I'm not sure if it costs you anything to host all the data (i'm not a tech head) but i'm sure some of us would pay a small yearly fee to have access to more data.

I've been saying since before MyMidnite launched that I'd pay for that service (and honestly, most companies would). In it's current state, probably not, but there is a long list of improvements that would make the service really shine. I think we all understand that Midnite can't devote many resources to it because it doesn't generate any income on it's own.

I get it, but I'm fairly certain that I'm not the only one who would gladly pay a yearly fee IF it had email alerts and more data.

In the meantime, I'm just building a monitoring system for myself, for probably more money (and far, far, far more time) than I would have spent on MyMidnitePro(TM).
