First post on Midnite forum. Been reading all I can about the LA. got a couple of questions. First, the environment: Gigabit Net with private class C ip address on the 15 subnet. Twenty plus devices on the 15 subnet, router, cameras, workstations, portables, print servers, servers and NAS boxen. Nested Gigabit switch located within two feet of the Classic Lite 200 running on 12 DC directly from the Rolls Surrette bank.
Local App is running fine on an 8way Intel 2008 server. All is well, kinda. Questions.
1. How the heck can I get the Day, Date and Time stamp to show the correct day/time? Must have set two dozen times!
2. Every night my Classic Lite acquires a new 15 subnet ip addy! It does not matter if I set the config - tech to static or DHCP, The Lite increments the ip addy by one every day!

Do you have the Dip switches set to Custom? If not the reset will cause it to regrab all the settings from the dip switches.
Thatll be it. With non custom dip swith, set a static ip on the LA. Then power the classic down, change dip to custom, then power it back up, it will remember the static and your good to go. If you dont set custom, none of the LA config changes will 'stick'.
Oh, That would make it Midnite Classic Lite 1, me 0.
