Title: does the midnite classic draw 0.3A?
Post by: spo0nless on September 04, 2014, 01:38:23 PM
With only the whizbang jr (on the shunt) and the classic lite attached and the ethernet cable attached to the router and nothing else it is telling me there is always a draw of 0.3A (12v system). Is this accurate?  :o

At 12V, probably.

Less at higher battery voltages.

it's ~around~ 3 to 4 watts right now.  Can be somewhat less eventually with new firmware but right now,
this is what it is.

That's actually low already thanks. I'm just now starting to learn about all this stuff.

Yes, but whatever it is, it's never low enough !  Always trying to make it better and with all the
stuff in the Classic, it's hard to bring that idle down, but we're working on it as we can.
