Any plans to make a Remote for the Kid or a remote version? I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out a good place to mount one. Wifey hates any sort of Lights when sleeping, and the best place for me to mount it puts it right over the bed in my RV or on the wall across from it.
Putting it in the closet may be a heat issue, and hard to read/program.
If I mount it too low (like on the passthru wall next to the bed) I'll have to get on the floor to read it...
Hanging something over it (or tape over the LED's) may be the only option I have. :-\
At least there is no fan... ::)
A "Blank" model with a remote control like the remote for the Classic would be the bomb in my case. Probably cost prohibitive to produce, however.
I presume there is only one PCB inside?
Zonie,
In the menu..,
Under other stuff..under LCD.... Is LCD mode.....ECO will turn it off when resting or after a short delay
...under LEDS....is LED mode...NRML..BCM..RICK..PLAY..TEST..OFF...off turns them all off....play will be distracting
So if you set LCD to ECO and LEDS to off kid should be dark after a few minutes.
There is only one board......remote will not be likely but serial data will be available at some point with a firmware upgrade.

Cool, thanks. I haven't really read through the manual yet. Waiting to pick up the Kid so I have something to play with when reading it.
Will the serial port be bidirectional so we can control it?
@zonie
No word on that.....only heard that there will be serial data available

Got my Kid today. Bought from a local shop, Solar Penny in Mesa, AZ. Aaron, nice guy.
Also picked up two tubes of Dicor at the RV place, but 100% chance of rain this weekend, so I cannot install the panels. Bummer!
Zonie: Not to be seen again for a week. Disappears into his camper with his new Kid to check out all the functions. :D
Glad you got it, man. If it is the same company, I have seen some Solar Penny videos on Youtube.

Yes Mario assures me the serial data will be bi directional, then my hope is to hire some one to make a Raspberry PI or other device translate that serial data to Modbus so the PI would then talk to the Local App or My Midnite etc.
