Title: Regarding beat marine deep cycles and impatience
Post by: BlackwaterPark on November 22, 2014, 11:15:21 AM
Whilst waiting to be able to purchase my upgraded battery bank (just a four pack of gc2s), I've been usinga couple beat up 12v marines wired in 24... I've got my classic 150 sitting here eager to start squeezing juice from the sun... would it be Ill advised to hook up the panels 250w (2) to the classic and into the marines, or maybe just one panel?   Or should i just wait till I've got the gcs ready to go?

consider those marines a learning set and see what you can do with them.  Start with measuring SGs and V BEFORE you start and keep records, follow manufacturers recommended voltages to start, and you will probably might have to do an EQ too.

Cheers, enjoy the trip...
