I'm running V3.61 of the local app. When I select the update function I get an error and a message to check back later. Is 3.61 the latest version?
Thanks,
Mike
6-26-2014 is the date I have on my copy of 0.3.61 for Windows
1.0.03 is the version on my android
neither will self-update
I'm not sure what the error is about, but 0.3.61 is the latest version. I'll be releasing a small update next week so you'll be able to see if the update works then! You can always manually uninstall if the auto update isn't working for you.
Thanks! I'll try updating next week once you release the new version and see what happens.
Were you going to add a feature to the LA to store an existing config to allow a user to blow it back down to a classic after a VMM?
yes he has added Export and Import all register function. It saves as an excel spread sheet so you can even edit it if needed
Hi,
I just posted the latest Local App 0.3.65.
It includes a time sync button and register import/export.
Also as a cop-out: the exported registers also have address and register name information so those looking for an "updated" modbus register spec can at least see some of the new registers this way.
Registers are exported in .csv format so you may want to manually add the extension if you want to read it using a spreadsheet program such as Libre Office Calc or that other one by Microsoft.

Where is the timesync button?
Found the import / export buttons.
Mine reports the wrong IP address in the spreadsheet actual is 192.168.2.149 and it reports:
Quote
16) 4109 65526 UNIT_IP_Address 255.255.255.246 ??
Just a heads up.

Duh, I found it. Need glasses again I guess. :o
Basic.. Bottom Right for those with similar vision.
And it works.

with Win8.1, is it better to manually download the app, remove old, and install new, or let the app look for and install the update ?
Edit - I did the update from app, and it seemed to all work well.
Also, when you release the app, could you embed the ver# into the filename. Makes it lots easier to revert if needed.
I should have mentioned that some registers are not used when updating.
The UNIT_IP fields and some others are no longer used for the advertised purpose. All the network fields are up in the network area starting at 20481.
There is no update for Android as we no longer have anyone actively working on this as far as I know.
Mike90045 -- that is a very good idea -- to release the filename with the version numbers, unfortunately it breaks Adobe's auto update function. I will see if I can just add links for the older versions of the app to MyMidNite, then you can download older versions.

Bummer, I bought a tablet specifically to leave in the battery shed so I would not need to drag the laptop over all the time.
I also get the error, when letting the app search for an update on windose
server is not found, or so.
Have now manualy updated and the "sync" works now ;D good job!
