Is there a way to have the Classic battery charging shutdown if the batteries reach a high temp set point? I have AGMs and would like to make sure the batteries do not exceed 105F during the charge cycle. I thought this was supposed to be in the latest code update and have been unable to find this capability.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi. What are your observations leading up to the 105 temp reading (that's pretty high) , ambient temps? location, system specs?, etc?
What brand AGM?
Do they recommend an EQ?
and any other info you think might be relevant.

It is in there. Can not remember the exact location. But it is in one of the sub menus. try looking at the menus that have more on them. Pretty sure it is not Tweats. Maybe the Advance. Sorry not at location of my controller to look.
Thanks I'll have another look. What I am wanting to do is to safeguard my batteries from thermal runaway. I have a 2 banks of 12 year old Absolyte IIP VRLA batteries that are still performing well. They experience heat death at 120F. So I figure that if temp is escalating and I can shutdown the charging when the batteries hit 105F should prevent them from reaching 120F. Well ... that's the thought anyway.
As far as equalization goes, as long as the difference between cells when under load do not exceed .08vdc, should not need to equalize. I do use a BLS desuphator that seems to be working well.

About the desulphator: there was some discussion over on the NAWS board a while back and someone noted there was a bit of interference from the desulphator and the Charge controller, one of the users disconnected his desulphator... there are 69 hits for 'desulphator'

In the latest firmware, there is a "MORE" screen in the Limits Menu that allows you
to adjust the highest battery temperature allowed. This is in Celsius and normally
sits at 170.0 degrees C which would be disabled.
In older firmware, but newer than late 2014, that value may be as a modbus
register but not available in the MNGP menus.
I don't know if it is available in the Local App yet but I do not think it is.
