Hi guys,
I just downloaded the log files from my classic and it looks like it's not auto equalizing. I have it set for every 25 days and works fine when i force it but not happening on its own.
I have programmed it from the local app which seems pretty straight forward.
Thanks
No one else had this problem?
Jimbo, tell us more about the day to day cycling of the batteries.
Its a 7 year old set of 1600 amp, 24v Raylite pack. Fed by 3.2kw of Panels. Over summer they are full every day but from now until October they will probably get down to between 90%-70% SOC.
Manufacturer recommends an equalize every 20 days.
OK so you are down under?
Do you get all the way to FLOAT every day? Doesn't sound like it... you need to get to Float before an EQ can be done.
I get to float most day from Nov to April. I also have it set to keep trying for 3 or 4 days.
You may have to run a generator early in the morning to bulk the batteries so there is enough solar day to perform the Equalize..
It equilizes fine but won't do it on it's own when it should!
What are the settings you are using for EQ?
Do you have a WhizBang jr?
Yes, there definitely is a problem with the Classic's Auto-EQ. The day counter that counts down from (in your case) 25 to zero and
then supposed to do the EQ for however many days you have it to re-try doesn't count correctly. Well, sometimes it does.
This has been a problem for quite a while actually. A lot of times it DOES work and depending on the firmware version, it
can work better or worse.
The fix has been a long time coming but I think that it is going to be fixed when being added to the Kid controller which does
not yet have Auto EQ built in. That code can then be put into the Classic (their code is similar and some of it is cloned)
and then it should work again.. OR more than likely, the bug will be found while it is being put into the Kid.
This is a tough problem. Sorry I don't have better info at the moment.

Off the top of my head i have set on auto equalize every 22 days and retry for 4 days. Last time i was at the house i looked through the logs and it hadn't equalized since i manually forced it 45 days earlier.
Has this been fixed in the firmware yet? I set auto EQ to every 7 days. It has been 8 days, and EQ has not occurred.
