Title: Updated system from 12v to 24v.. Everybody came along but the Local Status Panel
Post by: OffGrid+LovinIt on June 15, 2015, 12:00:08 AM
Howdy,

Updated my system from 12 volts to 24 volts today.

Reset the Classic 150 on 24 volt batter bank, set new 24 volt set points and all went well.

Then I opened the Local App... and it was displaying the right voltage.... 24.7v, but the analog meter was pointing SSE, probably close to where 24.7 would be, if it was a 360 degree meter. (Also displaying the 12 volt scale).

Going into the Configuration Menu and selecting 24 volts did not work. Reseting everything didn't help either.

So, I uninstalled the application, and Air.... downloaded the latest and greatest and reinstalled clean. (So I assumed).

On my first opening of the Local Status panel, I noticed it 'remembered' my uninstalled network settings. So I was not surprised that it also remembered it was a 12 system.

But after a few hours wasted, I now have my battery voltage meter pointing directly South.....

Any ideas on what I missed ???  Thanks   DennisB

Dennis, did you click on the little blue "SAVE" button on the portion of the LApp you were changing? you did not mention if you used the MNGP or the LApp...

I have a Classic that would not change the Voltage when I upgrades to 24V, pre LApp, and had to do a 'factory reset' or Vulcan Mind Meld several times to get it to take.

Also, did you delete the  Windows Folder the LApp was in, so it was a complete clean install?  That's all I can think of and  should get rid of any saved info unless Andrew has a special place for such...

Howdy,

Thanks for the reply, your response led me to the solution....

After reading your response, my first thought was, 'but there was no little 'Save' icon, next to the 24V selection'.....

Then I reviewed the screen and found that there is a group 'Save'  further down the page.

Thanks, knew I missed something    :(    DennisB

This is a good example of why modal dialogues for better for config stuff like that.
