Title: Kid AGS
Post by: ZoNiE on July 17, 2015, 12:14:39 AM
Firstly, I was fortunate to be able to meet Mario in person at Intersolar in San Francisco today. I attend Semicon, the sister convention across the street, so I ambled over to the west hall to see who was at the Midnight booth.

Mario, you mentioned that the older Kid may be able to handle AGS if I didn't use the whizbang as the port could be used. Can the AGS and the WBJr. be multiplexed on the same port somehow?

I stated that I seldom use the Genset other than running the Microwave or the Roof Air, but we are looking at running a DC compressor fridge on a full time basis, and the AGS may be a nice safety valve for our battery bank...

re the fridge:  I am running a 2015 model GE 17.5 ft3 fridge and power it with a 1500W 24V inverter and can even have the vacuum on at the same time...  your 2200W inverter should be idling...

I have not been able to find out just what powers the compressor but I do know that it pulls about 40A/25.5V ~1000W+ at startup and tapers down from that point, no measure of peak draw...

I'm not currently using the sensata inverter as my rv is only 12V. I am saving it for my cabin. I don't have room for such a large fridge, but thanks for the info, it is helpful.

Hey Zonie, thanks for visiting us at intersolar!
yes on an older unit with the latest release code you are able to configure it as AGS but unfortunately you cannot multiplex the port for WBJR and AGS at the same time.

Were you part of the Beta program?
