Title: RV Install - What does the Whizbang jr Really do?
Post by: gkerlin on September 01, 2015, 02:02:00 PM
I have a classic 150 that I am putting in my Motorhome.

I already have a battery monitor that tells me all the standard info  (SOC,   AH in/out etc)   Its a Magnum monitor (prefer a trimetric but the Magnum will do)

So my question about the whiz bang is does it improve the efficiency of the Classic 150 or does it just display ah in/out info on the classic display but not really do anything to improve its operation?

Hi Gkerlin,

One of the biggest advantages of the WBJr is ending amps.
The absorb cycle is terminated when the end amps setting is reached. This is more accurate than ending absorb by time alone.
Of course it also works with the local app and MyMidnite2.

HTH,

IMO the most valuable aspect of the WBjr is it allows you to know that the battery IS getting charged, or discharged.  Not just the amps coming out of the charge controller...

My mood ring broke. I don't know how I feel about that.
