Title: connectivity issue with classic lite 200
Post by: mahendra on September 09, 2015, 12:09:49 PM
OK so here is the the  thing for >for a while now my classic lite will not connect to the local app but my classic 150 does just fine.
Both classics are on the same system and are set up for follow me.

Initially i thought it was an issue with my cat 5 network cable that is run for the classic lite but after doing all that have could have been possible done it still would not connect at the same time it is not connecting to my midnite either.

These are all of the measure i have tried to resolve the issue:
Quick reset
hard reset
firmware upgrade followed by hard rest
testing of network cable(results show that cable is OK)
change of cable

Please help,Thanks in advance!

Just checking, do you have them setup with the same static IP addresses?

one option is to move the MNGP to the lite and make sure everything is set properly, then move it back...

Yes, the MNGP swap and also move (temporarily for testing) the working 150s Ethernet cable to
the Classic Lite to see if it talks.

I've got my Classic 200 and Classic 200 Lite connected together with phone cables (and also setup for Follow Me). Once you've setup each Classic with a unique address, then you can use your single MNGP to address both Classics. Use the left + up and left + down buttons on the MNGP to select the address of the Classic you want to view/configure. Much easier than taking off the covers and swapping the MNGP cable between Classics.

Even with the latest firmware I still get occasional network crashes (one Classic won't show up in Local App until auto-reboot at midnight), so being able to use the MNGP to view both Classics is a very useful feature.
