Hi Everyone!
I have a Midnite solar classic 150 with 4 strings of two SolarWorld 285 Watt panels (2280 watts) on a 24V system. My question is this:
Does there exist a standard size, panel mount circuit breaker (not the big size for inverter) for the full rated output of 95 Amps of the Classic 150?
Under certain cloud conditions, the output power can be over 150% of the PV rated output and it can trip the 80 Amp breakers. And I think this array would trip an 80 Amp breaker (Controller output to batteries) in full sun... It would make sense for M.S. to have a circuit breaker that can handle the rated output current of their controllers.
Yes we have the MNEDC panel mount breaker it goes from 5 amp to 100 amps and is 3/4 inch wide fitting in the E-Panel, Mini DC and Quad box etc.
