Title: Configuring Belkin N300
Post by: asdex on November 14, 2015, 01:03:22 AM
Hi, I have this router now. I was wondering as we don't have internet where the router will  be and will be used only for communicating with my Midnite Classic I can configure it as an access point?
Also, I see in the video "Hooking up the Classic to Ethernet" the cable is taken out of the pc and then plugged into the router. I thought a crossover cable would be needed for the PC but not the router.
Thanks,

a) the router manual will tell you how to configure it.  With my router, it does not care that there is no internet (it just can't set it's clock via NTP) it still manages the wi-fi for my Morningstar MPPT60, Combox and Classic 200, which I easily monitor with a 2nd wi-fi dongle at my computer

b) some computers auto sense if they need to act as cross-over cable.
