Title: Marine Version of Midnite Kid
Post by: dmkkeng on January 20, 2016, 12:44:56 AM
With exception of the extra accessories and color, is there any difference between the regular version and marine version of the Kid? I will likely surface mount the kid inside the cabin of my boat so it won't be exposed to the elements. The temperature sensor sounds like it would be a good option to have.

If you have lead acid batteries you always want a temperature sensor . It will reset the charging voltage as the battery temperature changes. When I first got into solar many year back with the unsophisticated controllers available I found out how to ruin a deep cycle battery during cold weather !
