Title: How to revive a dead car battery...
Post by: Westbranch on January 30, 2016, 07:06:44 PM
Just read this little 'hint' on the Bob Villa site:

Car Juice Boost

If you find yourself stranded on the side of a road with a dead car battery, don’t fret. Two aspirin dropped into the battery cell will react with the sulfuric acid and create a charge to jump-start the batteryâ€"which should provide enough juice to get you to the nearest gas station.

I'm not so sure about the chemistry that might happen in this case...  Not that I would use it but curious as to how it might be  usable... or not,

A Skeptic

powder? What powder?
guess wonder powder brought by the tiny elves from the forest of dreams :D

thats so great, like these jumpstarters in a small box ... people have to much money if they buy them
But, as we say here in germany: "every morning an idiot stands up from his bed" you only have to find him ;)

in theory you can replicate energy with chemicals, but just putting some powder in a acid liquid without meassure the chemical components exactrly, is a waste of all.
