Nice - how much head and gallons per minute do you need to get 1000 watts ?
Larry
I heard 55 L / second and 4.5 M drop
thats a lot of water and elevation ! Sweet power source if you have it available - and 24 hours a day even if the sun doesn't shine .
Looking at how the turbine is given water , the flow is increased by the battens / dyke boards to increase the "head" as the flow increases down the turbine shoot so no aeration & the water is travelling over the impeller blades without compression or hammering . It must be spend up smoothly .
