Title: Is there a way to Back-Up ,record all LA setups ?
Post by: CDN-VT on March 14, 2016, 01:15:25 AM
I have just setup all addresses of the classics & imported them plus made sure all are on the LAN with a Cantenna to fire MEGA distance .
So is there a way to capture all the setup data of the LA program Or is it just ZIP/RAR and transfer ?
8Classics and it took way long for all.

just like recording MATE settings

?
With a batch of classics, if the wireless router goes down, there is no way to guess which Classic will get what IP address, unless you manually set each one, and disable Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) addressing.

But once you are wirelessly connected to a specific classic, you use it's serial # as the password, to access it's interactive features, and you can download the internal register settings.  The format is .CSV and embedded in each file, is serial # data for that classic (I think)  So when you go uploading the .CSV files, I think you have to be sure you have them matched up properly.

Is that the answer to the question you are asking ?
I have wirelessly downloaded and re-uploaded successfully, for the 1 classic I have

Yes I have done that also .
My question is , the MN local app has all my address setup . So 192.168.233-234-235-236-237 etc and all that ..
I get minimal menu selections with MNLA.
What I want is to save all that ,, IN case my Mouse attracts a cat & the dog gets involved .
Just want to have copy's & backups of all.

Just a thought , where did the LA file(s) get saved to?

if there is more than 1 file in the folder I would remove all but the one you want and then Import...

They get saved in C:\VT's crap \solar \Midnite\Classic & tere are 16 files in there now.

That IS NOT what I need saving , I have them all saved & Backed up.

It's the little moon icon LA stuff , Once you have it all setup of all the classics & you click on it , it shows all the setup Classics etc.
THATS what I want to save & backup.

Same answer applies if I am thinking correctly, when you save for CL #1 and 2 the data will get stored in the same location and may possibly overwrite the first file,  Don't know , as I have only 1 Cl in ops right now... and have only  saved the settings and then never  used them

There is no way to do it through the LA program. But I believe all the data is stored in the hidden files that are located in:  AppData\Roaming\com.midnitesolar.LocalStatusPanel

I know the data recorded by the LA is stored here. Note these files are not readable.
