His mother complained to racing officials because it took her 3 hours of hard scrubbing to remove the debri from his underpants! ;D

Russ , His  Lady Friend more likely ;)
Kinda like when Webber did back flip in one at 150MPH .

To be prepared to survive without any broke bones is professional training  ,with such a monocoque car as well , but he knew to remove hands from wheel & place feet away from pedals ,keep knees away from Rack .. I have sat / driven  in one years ago, would never fit , or get out after massaged into one in2016 .

Sorry,
Ok F1 drivers do not eat McDonalds junk food because they will not fit behind the wheel and into the small space called the drivers seat of the car!
You stated you would have to be massaged into the seat nowadays!
I am assuming you have put on a lot of weight since your last venture into car racing.
I apoligise for my cryptic style humour, after all I am an Australian and we see humour in some of the most weird ways! ;)
Furthermore, the larger the body mass of the driver then the more damage sustained by the forces applied during a car crash.
Increased chance of steering wheel and seat belt injuries as well as organs being ripped from their tissue mounts within the body cavity etc.
So another reason for being small and skinny!

F1 drivers have the car seat custom made and the cockpit area adjusted to fit so not all have to be small and skinny. OK there are limits to overall size and weight but custom fit seats are essential to ensure comfort and safety.
I have seen several photos of F1 drivers and support crew demolishing a few big Mac burgers and KFC buckets

Russ , It was "eat macas" was the words that got me.

I raced Motorcycles in the 60's/very early 70's ,I made a mistake & spent .8Y in hospital . I had a chance to drive a Indy Cart car & a F1 , both I took in the 80's .

Now I'll just listen to the wife about a speeding ticket I got while she was onboard. 129km/hr  in a 120km/hr zone ,, going down hill mountain run 9 Kms/hr  over .That cost $$$

Neighbour kid 20+ and student , works hard to pay for learning , looks after his car for the Single parent family , gets a 140.00$ ticket for a licence plate lights don't work !!

Here the .>GOV wants $$$$ for anything . BC means Bring Cash & LOTS .
Opps RANT over

Mate, they are worse here during the school holidays. As the government has a double demrit/double fine money making scheme.
A $200 ticket and 2 demerit points becomes a $400 fine and 4 demerit points during the holiday period!
They really are scum and I have little respect and tolerance for the wankers!
Life is hard and expensive enough without that type of rubbish. I have only ever had 3 speeding tickets but that was enough over 35 years.
I gave up the boy racer mentality decades ago because of the cost, time and family factors.
No more modified camshaft profiles, holley carbs, edelbrock manifolds, extractors, Mallory dual point dizzys.
I do ocassionally get a bit of head work done from the better half (wife) in all fairness! ;)

Sorry, have buggerall hair left!
Gets a bit chilly in winter ;D
All open to interpretation!
I gave up all the boy racing ideas when I had kids and the cash flow was consumed on other things.
However, I really do love the sound of a 350 chev with forged pistons, double lump fuely heads, good cam, extractors, dual exhaust system and an analog ignition system. The fuel injected motors just do not sound the same. But I have been away from that scene for decades
and things may have changed with advances in electronics!
