Title: A trip down memory lane
Post by: zoneblue on May 02, 2016, 08:27:58 PM
Ive been saving this post for many moons, but, (save for maybe some MM stuff) I believe that the time has arrived. This post celebrates the tireless work of the midnite team in achieving a stable and full featured firmware, and pivotally, a now stable network stack.

Its been a long journey, we all know that, and perhaps thats just a case of good wine being allowed to brew.

Here is a partial list of firmwares our particular classic has seen:

1070 23-08-2012 Absorb duration based on bulk duration, and a min and max time.
1370 08-04-2013 Minimum absorb time removed, fixed absorb time. Network fixes.
1401 06-08-2013 Network fixes
1549 19-08-2013 Hardware VMM, more network fixes
1609 04-10-2013 Support for WBJr EA, and days betw bulk
1769 13-02-2014 WBJr SOC.
1795 17-03-2014 WBJr SOC fixes.
1849 21-04-2014 Network update
1923 18-12-2014 Misc fixes
2050 05-08-2015 Support for SL
2079 02-11-2015 Major network update significantly fixing timeouts, support for MM3. Auto EQ fix.
2096 27-03-2016 Fix for ten day network disconnect, battery current limiting.

Congratulations to all the engineers and coders for persevering with this. And for those wondering what the big deal ever was about the journey to a stable network stack, maybe take a look at my tablet post  http://kb1uas.com/mnsforum/index.php?topic=3191.0 for the end result.

Thank you Bob, Ryan, and rest of Midnite crew - there aren't a lot of companies whose customers  feel like the people working there are friends and have such a good sense of humor too.
