Hi Taos,
I'm seeing a few post on 1 week led, I'm wondering if were talking 1 week (yellow LED) or (Green LED) RFC ? I'm not trying to confuse things, just trying to keep up. I have two Kids, and no I don't see the 1 week fliker. I do see the RFC flicker under low light when it has just reached a (FC) at the end of the day and the green (FLT LED) also fickers after a week of no sun, just rain and overcast. The one week LED has ether been on or off but no flickering.

				Hi Walt
The one week led is the second one from the top, it will flicker ( not full ilumination ) if the room is bright near the kid you maybe will not see it , it will flicker when low output from panels ( low light condition ) like early morning or late in the day, it will flicker at the same frequency as the relay will click . Thanks for your response.

Nope, FLT flicker only until it was about the time the night lights censer turned the yard lights on. I'll force the one week LED to come on and see what happens, be back in a week or ??

Flicker OR pulsating flash of on & off in a timed set . I have had  that a long time ago , But I didn't see it after that once.

The  one week led will flicker im guessing 4  times a second , like i said as fast as the relay clicks under low light conditions, its very dim and doesnt go full brightness .

If anybody would like to test for this all you need to do is put a blanket on your panels,( cause low light condition) then if your charge controler ( the kid)is in a bright room put a blanket over the charge controller and put your head under the blanket and look at the one week led  ,you should also hear the relay clicking, my one week led will flicker( on and off  fast ) will not fully illuminate. You dont have to wait a week or have very low state of charge( batteries) as long as the kid is trying to charge the batteries ( in bulk mode)

				Don,
Are saying you have other lights or a light lit up at the same time? Is the RFC LED lit up? I have only seen the 1WK LED after setting up my Kids and it was a while before getting them to FC due to rain and overcast days but the LED stayed on didn't flicker. since then the RFC has stayed on and I'm in FLT by 11:00 am everyday even overcast days.( It doesn't take much to run the yard lights)! My plane is to cover the panel and see what happens. The Kid is in a shed without windows so it is easy to see the LED activity. As of now I haven't seen any flickering but do hear the relay clicking and I would say more often then a Classic and not as loud.

				Hi Walt
There is no other lights on, at the time this happens, but  i havent noticed it ,once it goes to float and the rft light comes on but i bet the one week led light will flicker ,i will wait and see ,then post the results later.

Don my playing & testing of a KID when were in cloud & rain .
My LIGHTS/LEDS  are just on or the Float is flashing at a timed sequence . NOT a flicker or a relay chatter .
Best I can help with Don.
Good luck

Update I  checked if the one week light  flickers when other lights are on ,well once battery got fully charged and went to float ,( rfc and float light on )it didn't flicker right away but once the battery dropped in voltage (12.7 volts)the rfc light was on float light off and under low light conditions and the kid(charge controller) trying to charge( bulk mode )under these low light condition the one week light did flicker.

				hi Don
something doesn't seam right there. I haven't seen a flicker on mine, I've dropped my SOC and not allowed it to get into float, Still have RFC LED lit not getting any flicker of any LEDs under low light conditions. FWIW

				Hi Walt
I was thinking there was something wrong with my charge controller ( the kid)  i had  other issues with it but just trying to figure whats normal,  i had my screen go blank and just backlight, i had the kid stop charging( resting)  even when my batteries needed charging 12.1 volts ,with full sun on the panels had to reset or power down, had problems last year with it resting when trying to equalize the batteries with full sun on the panels,  the one week light flicker, and yesterday while equilizing the battery i changed the voltage setting for equalize( pressed enter) and the screen froze  ( saving data displayed on the screen, since this charge controller is not used daily ( its used at my cabin out east for 2 weeks out of the year)besides for the last five days or so for testing ,since originally thought some of these problems were firmware , and didnt get a chance to try it fully , but since contacting midnite solar and suggesting hooking it up at home and trying it. Made me think theres a problem with this charge controller.
  I think i have a bad kid,( charge controller),lol
