Title: local app window size very small
Post by: BAndrews on August 19, 2016, 10:24:10 AM
Updated the Classic 150/MSGD and installed the newest Adobe Air and Local App on a windows 7 laptop.  The local app is very tiny  -- approximately 480x270.  I do not see any mechanism for enlarging the window.  The Win7 window-manager appears to be completely non-functional.

I sure would like to see a 1080P window of this panel.  I've got to be missing something here .....

One if the many issues with the LA...
No one knows really, if we get a better handy working tool
Be happy to use it on a PC, but the Android version ... uuuh....

Should be such a great work like Graham's App ;)
Looks like we have to collect money for a guy that writes a new LA
hahahaha

Android screens are just too darn small for my tired eyes.   :)

Maybe one day, some of this sci-fi stuff (like virtual projection screens and keyboards) will come true.....

With the option to enlarge on an Android screen there is little excuse for my old eyes...  try it ...  I use a 7 inch tab and have no problem...  and if you want you can 'cast' it to your television set... bingo ! real big...

The problem on a android device is, it is extremly hard to 'touch' a small item and enter some datas.
That starts, when you select an Classic. You have set the Classic addresse and port, want to close this blue overlayer, but you damn don't catch this tiny liittle small (x) ... hit it and again and again, and uuups.  One time to often and the found device under it appears and is deleted again. thanks.
Trying to move the scrollbar ... thank you very much.
You want to 'hit' the "Enter" icon, thats also a funny game.
Next, the LA shows wrong settings. Most happens in the AUX section. Also gave me hurts, when some battery settings were wrong and I didn't see it quick enough. That can ruin your day...
I allready wrote my angry words about these things here in the forum, when it again was to much of it.
Oh - on the android, it can not store the connections and serial numbers of the classics. You allways have to find the classics and enter the sn. (or let the LA allways run in the background. that makes sense. But there also other uses for a Android device. And if you use another App, like Graham's great App, you must end the task of LA, because the Classic can only handle one connection.

To be clear, and I wasn't, my comments are referring to Grahams App...

Ah ha, the no touch fingers, I have that problem too..

Solution: I HAVE TO use one of these....

As the saying goes Don't leave home without it...  far more accurate than those clumsy phalanges  we were born with...

I have a pencil with this "touch rubber" part,
but don't work for me in the LA, not on my 5" phone and also not on the 7" pads. You repeatly miss the items
I have a older netbook, only for this Job, can use a mouse and ... it works, must be carefull, it don't change some settings itself.

"the hope dies at last" we say in germany haha
one day, a good fairy will give us a new app :D

(Graham's App is a big win for us! If the LA would be just half as good, like his App)
(and i ask me, if someone can do it as a hobby project, why can't a company do it for their own product? there are so many really good program writer out there. they don't cost that much)
