Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me before the freezer thaws :o
I did the latest update ( 2096_3-27-2016_v5.02 ) to the classic and MNGP.
Results : stuck in resting
ReasonForResting = 36 Battery temperature is Greater than reg address 4161 specified
How do I fix that little issue?
Walt
Battery temp is 23.8c , 75f so i disconnected the temp censer and now charging but have OCP is off.
I guess that would be expected.
Did the firm ware update again to both CC and MNGP , this appeared to clear the problem, reinstalled the temp censer and will see what happens. What should be the Rev #### for the MNGP?
I thought I had newest revisions on my Classics but they show 2079 so guess I will have to update one of these days too.
I don't remember if I went back to an old one because of some problem or not.
This is what I have right now if it helps any.
- Classic Rev: 2079 11/23/2015
- Network Rev: 2073
MNGP 2054 8/11/2015

the MNGP is most likely up to date, I was thinking it wasn't up to date. Everything does seem to be fine now, first time I have done any updates so being a nervous Nelly I guess.

Ok I've updated all my classics and the lite is flashing all lED"s this afternoon.I don't have anything important running off it so its ok for now. I did record it at 2 min video but can't upload it as its to large of a file. Any ways all lights flash at 30 second intervals, any thoughts on the reason? It (is) still producing and in a float tonight according to the local app and graham"s APP, so whats up with it?
Walt
Do you have it on Mymidnite ? If so maybe you could take a screenshot of graph so we can see what it is doing .

Send a PM to Halfcrazy. I believe he has posted here about a problem with the Lites doing this with the newer firmware. He will fix you up.

This is a well known bug with older LITES. The MNLP display gets hung up. The Classic is still running though. Send me an Email ryan@midnitesolar.com with your address and i will get you a new MNLP

Thank you John, Yes I do believe your right about a problem with the MNLP so i did get together with Ryan and feel we have worked out a solution with the lite. Ive attached a MNGP to the lite and it appears to be working fine now so ill see how it behaves!

Hello Walt,
I said to disconnect the temp sensor as an idea to get your reg functioning and some charge into your cells mate.
Not as a long term solution :D
As I said before I have never attempted software upgrades as the number of problems people seem to have scares me! :o ;D

I'm with you! that's why I've never done upgrade to firmware as it scares me, but now I'm ok with it because i'm sure it will work out in the end. Plus, I have back up if i only mess with one at a time becouse I cant go down or bad things happen :o :'(
Walt
If my mate Offgridqld comes up again in the near future I will ask him to bring his lappy with the software upgrades on it and do the job!
I do have a spare reg now, but once I get my satilite broadband upgrade install I will have the space for the next array of panels and then no spare reg!
That will be 3 regs and how many 150's is enough! :o ;D
Wife is always up my ribs about buying stuff, but I am a solar addict and proud of it.
So upgrades will have to wait for a while as my regs are going well as is. :P
