Title: Diversion Load - Controlling Amps/Watts
Post by: rmurfster on October 26, 2016, 10:08:04 AM
I want to create a diversion load to heat hot water (I know, a topic talked about alot).

I have 5130 watts PV, 48v system.  Midnite Solar 150 classic controller.

I have 2 1000 watt DC water heating elements.

When I divert, how do I keep the wattage under 2000 watts?  It appears that when the Classic diverts, it just sends all extra wattage to the diversion load.  Is that correct?

Thanks,

Richard
