Have you heard of these salt water batteries ?  I just read up on them last night

fairly high internal resistance = need to oversize the bank a lot

I note in the article it states that rooftop solar can not be competed against by central power generation!
It is really only the storage cells that let us down!
I would dearly love to be able to put the 70kws a day we produce into our own storage!

Have to concure, a large chunk of cash for something that may crash!
And I am sure you have trouble get a fix or a refund, especially for us that are out of the states!
