The classic MNPG gives the "BATT" just fine, but runs up and down the scale for the "IN" from 170-193 v.
It will start charging at "BULK" in "Wind Track" mode, but I'm using solar panels and it only starts for a moment. That's when it "sees" my panel's voltage, 130-152 v. I can't find any function that allows me to adjust the numbers that are running up and down the scale down 40 volts. Is there one?
Well if you are using it on solar panels I would suggest not using "Wind Track" mode I would switch it to "Solar" mode and I think you will find it settles right in and works great. Wind track is specifically designed for wind turbines and requires a programmed power curve for the particular turbine you are running.
Check out the "Just the Facts" guide and see if this helps set things up as well http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31975941/Just%20the%20Facts.pdf (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31975941/Just%20the%20Facts.pdf)
Thanks, that's helpful.
I read in another post that holding down the "Left Arrow" and tapping the "Enter" button would give telltale numbers. I did that. The lower right number told me that my panels "IN" watts were really low. So I went back through the Wizard more carefully and that seems to have fixed the issue.
Do you have a hyperlink to the list of codes explaining what the middle number means? At noonit reported 19 and about 2 pm it reported 23.
Under MODE, I found LEGACY P&O, (named after a ferry?), and turned the WATTS function down to 5%. Now the CC detects the panels. However, the panels' total VOC number varies enormously depending upon the time of day. That leads me to ask, Does the Classic detect the VOC or does it calculate it?
Thanks!
