I have a question. I wonder if there is a way to utilize the full output of my panel array when needed, yet limit battery charging current to the manufacture's maximum. For example, lets say I had an aprroximately 4000 watt array (peak) with combined output voltage around 93V. Lets also say I have a classisc 150 attached to the 93V and "outputted" to a 48 V AGM battery bank. Now, lets also say I want to use inexpensive 12V 100AH batteries in series for the bank. Also, lets say I have a magnum 48V inverter attached to the bank. Because I am using 100AH batteries, I am limited to around 35 amps max charging current. Assuming I could receive full output from the array at a approximately 58V classisc charging voltage, I could theoretically output over 60 Amps from the classic during these conditions. Here's the question: Is there a way to limit max charging current into the batteries themselves to 35Amps, yet utilize the full 60 amps available from the classic when needed during heavy inverter loading - either simultaneously , or after the batteries are charged, etc...
Thanks
