Hi I've been figuring out using a single MNGP and finally found a site to host photos.
While I was doing a lot of swapping of panels and I discovered the panels on the right hand side of the Classic that I believe covers the FETs has cracks in it. Pretty much between every screw head. Should I be worried? Looks like a red cover is used now, perhaps this was a problem? If it's just cosmetic, I'm fine with that. Photo below;

How old is your Classic ?
I sent mine in for the 5 year recondition plan and they replaced those hold downs, the fans, and I think maybe some capacitors .
Trying to remember what they charge for that $150 ? but then the warranty is also extended two more years. I don't think mine were cracked like yours are when I sent it in .
I guess I would check with Midnite to see if that is warranted now because of the cracks.
"MidNite Solar offers an extended warranty for all the Classic MPPT charge controllers. Six months prior to the end of the warranty period customers can ship their Classic back to MidNite Solar with a check for $147 dollars plus shipping and we will replace any wearable parts and do a general tune-up. This will extend the warranty by 2 additional years. "

Those cracks are normal.
There should have been a red sticker stating " Torque FET clamp to 18 in-lbs.Some cracking is normal and will not affect performance."

Thank you!
My 2 Classics have the same cracks, but as long as they do their work....
I am sure the magic smoke will let me know one day, if not :D
