Title: Overvoltage on the KID
Post by: namilukol on January 05, 2018, 12:08:03 PM
Dear All,

My KID kept flashing the overvoltage light whenever the solar reading exceeded 1,100W, especially at midday. What could be the cause of this? I run 8 200W Thunderbolt solar panels; 4 connected as -ve supply and the other 4 as +ve.

Regards

at 12 V the Kid will handle 360W, at 24 v - 720W and at 48v - 1440W... assuming you are in 48V you are over paneled...

HOW HAVE YOU CONNECTED THE PANELS ? Your description does not make sense to me.

Please add a signature line with a description of all your equipment .
thanks
